Dear Coordinators and Members, We were saddened to inform you of the death Mr. Arthur Carden, who passed away peacefully in hospital on the 2nd of January, aged 95, with his family at his side - following a short illness. Arthur was a well-regarded and respected supporter of Horsham District Neighbourhood Watch; his enthusiasm, drive and intellect was well known across the District Association, and indeed in much of East and West Sussex. The Horsham Association's committee benefitted from Arthur's time as Vice Chairman and Secretary; his efforts and no-nonsense approach no doubt garnered respect and support from other Associations, Sussex Police, and Horsham District Council - to name but a few. In 2022, given the high esteem in which he was held, the title of 'Honorary President' was bestowed upon Arthur by the Chairman and Committee of the Horsham District NW Association. Arthur will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Arthur’s family members will be donating to the St. Catherine’s Hospice Charity, a cause which Arthur supported keenly – others may wish to donate to this Charity as well, https://www.stch.org.uk Thank You. |
